Groups

 

We love working with service groups! In addition to any service ideas your group might have, we have consistent needs for groups to assist us with:

  • Family Fun Nights
  • Landscaping and Building Maintenance
  • Mailings and Other Administrative Tasks
  • Serving Meals/Snacks
  • Special Events
  • And More!

Boys & Girls Clubs of Bloomington-Normal Volunteer Training

We will be offering volunteer orientation at both 1615 Illinois St. and BJHS from 5:15-6PM on Wednesday from January 18 – March 22, 2017.

 

Please e-mail sbutcher@bgcbn.org (The Clubhouse) jhall@bgcbn.org (BJHS) or mdonnelly@bgcbn.org with your desired date of orientation in the subject line to secure your spot in orientation, then plan on attending that orientation.  Only if there is a problem or a change in schedule will you be contacted by the Unit Director.

 

What should I bring to the training?

  • Your calendar if you wish to sign up for volunteer times
  • Completed application available below
  • Volunteer Background Check Waiver Form available below
  • ISU Authorized Background Check or $5 to Process your background check (for this we will need your SS#, Driver's License or State ID #)
  • Complete this Mandated Reporter Training, and print your certificate

ATTENTION ISU Education Majors:  

  • If you have completed a background check through ISU, please request a copy here. Boys & Girls Clubs of Bloomington-Normal staff will make a copy and return all documents to you.
  • If you have not completed an ISU background check, please bring $5 as listed above.
